ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College women's ice hockey defender Amber Meluzio has been named the UCHC Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Meluzio helped lead the Soaring Eagles to a 2-0 record on the week in UCHC play against Utica. Meluzio recorded one goal and one assist against Utica this week. In Friday's match, Meluzio had one assist while recording one goal in Saturday's match.

Meluzio has recorded three goals and one assist so far this season for a total of four points. She has had one game-winning goal along with one block.
