Donny Moss enters his second season as the Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Elmira College.

Moss is a 2009 graduate of Adelphi University and begins his Elmira coaching career with four years of coaching experience at the High School level.  Moss spent the spring of 2014 as the head coach of the Churchville-Chili Boy’s Lacrosse Team and was named the  Monroe County Division 3 Coach of the Year after guiding Churchville-Chili to a third place finish.  He spent the previous three years as the assistant coach.

In addition to coaching, Moss played six years of professional lacrosse in Major League Lacrosse (MLL).  Last summer he played for the Rochester Rattlers and helped guide his hometown team to a first-place regular season finish and a trip to the 2014 MLL Championship game. Before playing with Rochester, Moss spent three years with the Hamilton Nationals and another two years with the Long Island Lizard, a team that drafted Moss with the 39th overall selection in the 2009 MLL Collegiate Draft.

Prior to his professional career, Moss spent his collegiate career playing for two different institutions in NCAA Division II member Adelphi University and Herkimer County Community College.  At Herkimer, Moss was named a First Team All-American and the Region III Defensive Player of the Year.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Moss will also be pursuing a Master’s Degree in General Education.
