Wilgosh led all ECAC West defenders in scoring at 1.19 points per game, which also ranks her third in the nation in that category, while leading the fourth-ranked scoring defense in the country.
ECAC West Tournament
Having earned a share of the ECAC West regular season title, EC received a bye into this weekend's ECAC West semifinals where they will take on third-seeded Oswego State. This is the second consecutive season that Elmira has reached the ECAC West semifinals after losing in the quarterfinal round in the two seasons prior to 2012-13.
On the Road Again
The Soaring Eagles and Plattsburgh State finished with identical 15-1-0 records in ECAC West play, leaving a coin flip to determine which team would host the ECAC West Tournament. Unfortunately for Elmira, the coin landed in Plattsburgh's favor, enabling the Cardinals to host the tournament for the second year in a row and the third time in the last four years.
ECAC West Royalty
EC and Plattsburgh State have been the class of the ECAC West since the conference was established prior to the 2001-02 season. In the 12 seasons since, the Soaring Eagles and the Cardinals have combined to win 10 of the 12 tournament championships, with the other two going to RIT in their final two seasons as a Division III member institution.
What a Weekend!
Ashton Hogan '15 had one of the best statistical weekends of her career against Neumann on February 22nd and 23rd, totaling six points on five goals and an assist. Hogan set single-game career-highs with four goals and four points in game one, marking the junior's first career hat trick. Hogan wrapped-up her weekend with a goal and an assist in game two.
Scoring Every Way Possible
Hogan found the back of the net four times against Neumann on February 22nd and did so by scoring a goal during each type of scoring situation. Hogan scored her first and last goals of the afternoon on the power play, she netted her second goal at even strength, and added a shorthanded goal for good measure 5:43 into the third period. The last EC player to record a hat trick by scoring in each situation was
Ashley Ryan '15 who did it last season in a 3-0 win over Manhattanville College on January 4, 2013.
Elite Company
Hogan's four-goal performance ties her for second in Elmira College history for most goals in a game. She joins Laura Hurd '05, who did it twice, and Siobhan Edington '06 on the list.
That's How To Go Out
Briana Saltstone '14 certainly did not hold anything back in her final two regular season home games in a Soaring Eagle uniform as she tallied five points against Neumann. Saltstone set a career-high with three points, on two goals and an assist, in EC's 6-0 win over the Knights on Saturday and then picked up two more goals the following game on senior day.

Ryan Closing In
Ashley Ryan '15 saw her teammate,
Tanis Lamoureux '14, reach the 100-point milestone earlier this season and now it is Ryan who is on her way towards that career mark. Ryan tallied three points against Neumann, bringing her to 95 career points. Once she records five additional points, whether this season or next, Ryan will become the ninth player in Elmira College history to reach 100 points.
