Annville, PA -- The Elmira College men's lacrosse team (0-1) fell 15-4 to Lebanon Valley College (3-2) in the EC men's season opener today. Eric Hallman '15 led the Soaring Eagles with a goal and an assist in today's action.
 
Lebanon Valley scored the game's first goal 6:41 into the first quarter. Ollie Heitkamp '18 answered back to score his first career goal just 2:46 later to tie the game up at 1-1. Hallman was credited with the assist on the play. The Dutchmen answered back with three straight goals to take a 4-1 lead with just over two minutes left in the first quarter. Skyler Pradelski '15 cut Lebanon Valley's lead to 4-2 after scoring with 27 seconds left in the quarter.
 
Just 47 seconds into the second quarter Hallman would score a man-down goal to trail the Dutchmen, 4-3. Lebanon Valley responded with six more goals in the first half to head into the locker rooms with a 10-3 lead over the Purple and Gold.
 
The Dutchmen scored five more goals in the second half to take a 15-3 lead with 10:13 left in the game before Anthony LaRusso '17 would score the game's final goal with just 16 seconds left in the game to trail Lebanon Valley, 15-4.
 
Wyatt Katsos '17 started in net for the Purple and Gold and made 15 saves while Cameron Prior '17 made two saves in the final four minutes of the game.
 
The EC men will compete next this Monday, March 16th when Elmira will travel to Cazenovia College for a game starting at 4:00 p.m.
