2012 Season
Taryn appeared in all 36 matches during her third season with EC recording a career high of 457 kills, 315 digs, 50 aces, 38 total blocks and 37 assists. She was second on the team in kills and aces, third in digs and fifth in blocks. She registered double digit kills in 24 of the 36 matches during the season, with her best peformance coming on Nov. 3rd against Nazareth College in the Semifinals of the Empire 8 Championships recording 23 kills, 13 digs and three assists. Taryn earned Empire 8 All-Conference Second team honors as well as the Capital One Academic All-District team. In the history books she ranks sixth in aces for her career (190) and eigth in kills for her career (1,086).
2011 Season
Appeared in all 36 matches during her second season in the Purple and Gold and was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team. She finished third on the team in kills with 315 (2.37 per set), first on the team in digs with 377 and service aces with 74. She recorded 94 assists and 30 blocks this season, while also tallying double digit kills in 13 matches.
2010 Season
As a first-year outside hitter Rumsey was selected as Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, averaging 2.3 kills and 2.9 digs per set in conference play. Rumsey also earned American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Honorable Mention All-American honors for her play for the Purple and Gold, and was also selected as the 2010 AVCA All-Region (New York) Rookie of the Year. She ended the season having played 133 sets, registering 314 kills, 308 digs, 87 assists, 44 blocks and a team-leading 66 aces.
Secondary School
Named to PVCA Class A All-State team in '07, '08, and '09. Also named District 4 MVP in '08 and '09.

Taryn is a Speech and Language Disabilities major as well as a Trustee scholar.
