2012 Season
Had a great year in singles for the Purple and Gold wining five matches at the first singles position. Went 3-3 in conference play and earned Empire 8 All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades. She picked up huge conference wins against St. John Fisher College and Alfred University.
2011 Season
Amy won 6 matches at the second singles position during her first year as a Soaring Eagle. In doubles, she won seven matches with her partner Melanie Walker at the second doubles position. Schmidt was also awarded MVP for Women’s Tennis.
Secondary School
Five-time member of the Monroe County All-League First Team. Was named team MVP and a state qualifier during two seasons. Section V finalist in team and individual tennis sectionals. Coaches Association Female Athlete of the Year in 2011.
Personal
Amy is an Political Science and International Studies major with a concentration in World Politics and minors in Spanish. She is also a Presidential Scholar and a Gold Key member.
