Elmira College is excited to announce that the 35th annual Athletics Alumni Weekend will be held on Friday, February 3rd through Saturday, February 4th.
 
Festivities begin on Friday night with a trio of events that will take place at Speidel Gymnasium and the Murray Athletic Center. EC men's and women's basketball take on Stevens Institute of Technology in Empire 8 Conference action at Speidel, with the women facing the Ducks at 6:00 p.m., before the men conclude action on campus with an 8:00 p.m. contest.
 
Friday night's action will also feature the nationally-ranked EC women's ice hockey team, which will host Oswego State in ECAC West Conference action at the MAC Ice Arena at 7:00 p.m.
 
On Saturday, February 4th, all four of Elmira's winter sports teams will be in action, as well as a handful of alumni games. Alumni games begin at 10:00 a.m. and will run throughout the day.
 
Saturday's varsity contests begin on campus at Speidel, as the women's and men's basketball teams host E8 foe Houghton College at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively. During halftime of the men's game, EC cheerleading will recognize the 2007 cheer team, which claimed the coveted National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) National Championship. Further details on the halftime ceremony will be released closer to the event.
 
Those who make their way up to the MAC will also have the chance to enjoy a pair of ice hockey games, as both the men's and women's teams take on a pair of conference opponents at the ice arena. The Elmira women wrap up their season series with the Lakers of Oswego at 3:00 p.m., while the EC men conclude the weekend's competition with a 7:00 p.m. showdown with Nazareth College.
 
Following the men's ice hockey game, there will be an EC Booster Club Post-Game Mezzanine Reception for alumni, student-athletes and fans.
