Elmira, NY -- This past weekend the Elmira College Soaring Eagles men's and women's soccer teams welcomed Soaring Capital Soccer Club to campus for EC's home contests. The Elmira women walked out to center field for the national anthem with the members of the U-11 Soaring Capital team while the EC men walked out with the U-12 Cyclones of Soaring Capital. At halftime of the men's game, the Cyclones put on a shooting clinic on EC's Campus Field.
"It was fantastic to have the Soaring Capital Soccer Club involved in Saturday's pregame ceremonies" exclaimed head men's soccer coach
Keith Moore. "It was a great opportunity for our guys to take pride in their program and to remind them that they are role models to young players in the community. I know the Cyclones enjoyed the day and loved seeing the guys they walked out with in action."
"It was a great experience for our players to serve as role models and remember where they came from" stated head women's soccer coach
Ashley Bingaman. "The youth soccer programs of America are the grassroots organizations that allow us to have successful college teams and be one of the top women's soccer nations. We are looking forward to continuing to grow the relationship between our team and the Soaring Capital Club program by integrating our players to help train this spring."
