Elmira College Athletics

Rumsey averaged 3.5 kills, 2.75 digs and 0.42 blocks per set in a 2-1 week for Elmira, while hitting .221. She finished the week with 42 kills, 33 digs and four service aces. The junior had a huge match Saturday against Mount Aloysius finishing with a season-high 24 kills along with seven digs while hitting .299. On Friday against Clarkson Rumsey recorded a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs. She also recorded double digit digs with 11 on Tuesday against Houghton to go along with seven kills.

The EC Women’s Volleyball team is 12-10 overall on the season but more importantly 6-1 in conference play. The team continues its home stand with two games this week in Speidel Gymnasium. The Soaring Eagles take on Penn Tech at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday before a 6:00 p.m. conference battle with Alfred on Thursday.
