ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- First-year guard
Mykenzie Malacusky '23 scored a team-high 12 points for the Elmira College women's basketball team on Saturday, as the Soaring Eagles dropped an 87-42 Empire 8 Conference bout at Nazareth College.
All 12 points netted by Malacusky came from 3-point distance, as the rookie went 4-for-7 (57.1%) from beyond the arc. She was responsible for more than half of the team's makes from 3-point range, as EC (4-14, 2-6 E8) finished 7-of-19 (36.8%) for the game.

Taylor Johnson '23 logged seven points, including one trey, and hauled in a team-leading seven rebounds. Seniors
Bridget Yaw '20 and
Lauren Franklin '20 each added six points, while Yaw paced the Soaring Eagles with two assists.
Nazareth (11-6, 3-3 E8) was proficient shooting from deep, as the Golden Flyers made 15-of-33 treys (45.5%). Naz's three leading scorers all sunk multiple 3-point field goals, led by Rachel Benedict with four, which accounted for 12 of her game-high 21 points.
