HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Soaring Eagles and Cardinals battled through the first six minutes of play before the visitors were tabbed with a foul from about the 40 yard mark. Wagner, who accounted for three of the four EC shots on the day, was able to connect after finding the top bar to give the home team the early advantage.
As play continued, Kayla Rhude answered for Fisher after the visitors were awarded a free kick of their own to tie the contest at 1-1 at the 20:30 mark. From there, the Cardinals were able to connect again with just over five minutes remaining in the frame, as Isabella Peracchi found the twine on an assist from Bella Guarracino which would go down as the game-winner.
In the opening half, Fisher outshot Elmira 15-1, while goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25 corralled eight saves in net. In the second, Cardinals would outshoot the home team 10-3, as Winston finished the contest with 11 saves.
Elmira wraps up its season with six wins, its most in a single-season since 2014 when the team won seven contests.
