PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's basketball team dropped its Tuesday evening matchup against the Cardinals from St. John Fisher College, 80-50. The Cardinals forced 33 Soaring Eagle turnovers to score 28 points from turnovers, compared to just five for the Soaring Eagles.
Taylor Albrecht '22 paced the Elmira offense with 12 points, while Desiree Roy '24 added 10 points and seven rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cardinals carried an 11 point lead into the second quarter after shooting nearly 53.0% from the floor, compared to 46.7% for the Soaring Eagles. In the second, Fisher was able to extend its lead to 28 heading into the locker room after outsourcing the Soaring Eagles 24-7.
In the opening half, Fisher held the Soaring Eagles scoreless from beyond the arc, while knocking down eight of its own. In the frame, Elmira shot 41.6% from the floor (10-of-24) compared to a 20-of-36 effort for the home squad (55.6%).
In the second half, much like its first time around, Elmira played a highly competitive second half against the Cardinals which saw the Soaring Eagles outscored by just a pair. In the second half, Elmira was able to convert on 10-of-24 from the floor, compared to 10-of-35 for Fisher.
