HENNIKER, N.H. – The Elmira College women's ice hockey program distributed its scoring evenly on Friday night as the Soaring Eagles had eight different players record a goal along with eight more that tallied multi-point outings in an 8-1 victory against New England College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Holley Riva '23 opened the scoring in the contest for the Purple & Gold by tallying her ninth goal of the season at the 12:15 mark of the first period.
Morgan Mordini '22 and
Mary McCafferty '22 both assisted on Riva's opening goal.
The Soaring Eagles would open things up against the Pilgrims in the second period as
Emma Bradbury '26 netted her eighth goal of the season just 1:20 into the frame to make it 2-0.
Erika Goleniak '25 and
Madi Morton '24 each tallied assists on Bradbury's marker.
Sophie Compeau '25 would add to the lead as her power-play goal at the 10:05 mark made it 3-0 with
Claire Meeder '23 notching the assist.
Piper Andrews '26 tallied her first collegiate goal later in the second period to give Elmira a 4-0 advantage in the contest before
Claire Elfring '25 made it 5-0 with her fourth goal of the season at the 16:42 mark.
The third period would see Elmira find the back of the net on three occasions as McCafferty connected on the power play at the 8:03 mark with assists going to
Katie Manning '25 and
Jenny Heath '22.
McKenzie Schmidt '25 joined the scoring for the Purple & Gold at the 9:06 mark as Elfring and Meeder would help set up the tally to make it 7-0. NEC added a goal at the 10:45 mark to trim the deficit to 7-1 before Goleniak netted her seventh goal of the season to cap the scoring for Elmira at 8-1.
Leonie-Louise Kuehberger '25 recorded the victory between the pipes for Elmira after seeing 40 minutes of action through the opening two periods. Kuehberger stopped each of the 11 shots that she faced on the night for the Soaring Eagles.
Alayna Breivogel '25 and
Maggie Gilman '23 would also see time between the pipes for Elmira as Gilman would make seven saves in the third period after entering the contest for Breivogel.

The Purple & Gold return to the ice to wrap up the regular season with a matchup against nationally ranked Norwich on Saturday beginning at 3:00 P.M. Elmira was victorious in the first meeting this season between the two programs back on January 6 at the Murray Athletic Center.
