AMHERST, MASS. - The Elmira College cheerleading team locked in its 13th Gold-Paid Bid to the National Cheerleaders Association Championships after placing second overall in the camp.
2024's NCA College Camp, held at UMASS Amherst's William D. Mullins Memorial Center, was made up of 23 teams. The four highest scoring teams were all given Gold-Paid Bids to Nationals.Â
Elmira took gold in Most Collegiate Coed and Game Day Division, while placing second in overall Game Day Runoffs and Large Coed Rally Routine.
With its Gold-Paid Bid, Elmira will now be traveling down to Daytona Beach, Fl. from April 9-13, 2025. Included in the Gold-Paid Bid is five free hotel rooms, reduced registration fee per person, and first priority on hotel assignment.Â
Elmira will look to win its fourth cheerleading national championship after finishing as the runner-up in the 2023 competition. Last year, EC finished second in Division III Advanced Small Coed Division at the NCA/NDA College Nationals.Â
