ROCHESTER, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles traveled to Nazareth on Friday night for a showdown with the Golden Flyers. EC couldn't keep up with the high-powered offense of the Golden Flyers, and wound up with an 80-62 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Tyler Cardello '26 led the Soaring Eagles with 16 points while also finishing second on the team in rebounding with seven. JJ Babcock '26 finished with 10 points, his third-straight game in double figures offensively.
Chris Woodard '28 came away with a team-high nine rebounds. Only Jaylen Savage had more in the game with 11. Babcock also finished with five rebounds and picked up two blocks in the contest.
For Nazareth, Savage was all over the court. He finished with 26 points on 11-21 shooting, including 4-8 from distance.
Luke Insley led the game in assists, finishing with 14 for the Golden Flyers.
Overall, the Soaring Eagles shot 26-66 (39.4%) from the floor and went 7-25 (28%) from deep. Nazareth finished 33-71 (46.5%) from the field, including 12-33 (36.4%) from beyond the arc.

The Soaring Eagles will have an opportunity to get things back on track on Saturday when they travel to St. John Fisher for an Empire 8 matchup with the Cardinals. The matchup is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
