Eddie Daoreuang Tabbed as Next Head Men's Volleyball Coach

ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College Director of Athletics has announced the hiring of Eddie Daoreuang as the next Head Men's Volleyball Coach. Daoreuang brings a strong background in both coaching and competitive playing experience, as well as a proven track record of developing athletes and contributing to championship-level programs to the Soaring Eagles.

"I'm honored to be named the Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Elmira College," said Daoreuang. "Elmira's commitment to academic achievement, athletic excellence, and community is something I deeply value, and I am eager to continue the growth of the program. Elmira men's volleyball is filled with a rich history of players and coaches that have contributed to the success of the program over many years."

Daoreuang joins Elmira after serving as an assistant coach with the St. John Fisher University women's volleyball program during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. While on staff, he helped guide the Cardinals to the 2024 Empire 8 Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance, with the program improving its hitting percentage from .188 in 2023 to .215 in 2024.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Daoreuang has served as a head coach with VolleyFX (2023–25) and an assistant coach for Pittsford Boys Volleyball (2022–23), where he worked in athlete development and program advancement at both the club and high school levels.

"We are thrilled to welcome Eddie to Elmira College as our next head men's volleyball coach," said Faunce. "His coaching experience, combined with his energy and vision for the program, makes him a tremendous fit to serve as the leader of our program. Eddie's background as both a coach and player will serve our student-athletes well as he leads the program forward."

As a player, Daoreuang competed at a high level, contributing to three ECVA Division II North NYS Championships (2018, 2019, 2020) and helping his team capture the 2017 ECVA Conference Championship. Individually, he earned ECVA D-II North Division First Team honors in 2019 as both a setter and opposite. His competitive highlights also include a 16th-place finish at the 2019 NCVF Nationals and a 5th-place finish at the 2020 NCVF Nationals.

"My vision is to continue the Elmira Volleyball legacy by fostering a culture of growth, unity, community and competition" said Daoreuang. "I look forward to working with our student-athletes, athletic staff, and the Elmira community as we strive to elevate the program and represent Elmira with pride and passion."
