PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – Competition season was in full swing at the Murray Athletic Center on Sunday afternoon as the Soaring Eagles hosted their annual Upstate Collegiate Championship, with the Purple & Gold recording one first-place finish and two runner-up finishes.

TEAMS: Elmira College, Point Park University, Gannon University, Penn State Behrend, Onondaga Community College, Ithaca College, SUNY Cortland, Western Ontario

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Hip Hop division featured three programs, as the Gannon University Golden Knights won first-place honors, with the Elmira Dance Team placing second and Point Park University placing third.
• In the All-Girl Advanced division, the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons brought home first-place honors, while the Soaring Eagles placed second.
• Elmira soared to a first-place finish with its Small Coed Advanced routine, bringing a close to the competition that featured over 30 performances throughout the day.

 
UP NEXT: The Soaring Eagles head to the University of New Hampshire on March 28-29 for the New England College Championships.
