ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles split Tuesday's doubleheader with the Keuka Wolves, dropping the first game but responding with a 10-run rule win in the second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME ONE):
The Wolves went ahead 1-0 in the top of the first before putting up a five-spot in the second inning.
Keuka tacked on another run in the top of the fourth, making it a 7-0 game.
Nick Lees '25 knocked in Elmira's lone run of the first game with an RBI single to left field, bringing home
Brett Warden '25.
Goin would start the game for the Soaring Eagles, lasting one inning before
Luke Kraft '27 would take it the rest of the way. Goin allowed five hits, five runs (all earned), and walked a batter in his inning of work. Kraft, in his longest outing of the season, allowed five hits, two runs (one earned), walked one, and struck out two.
Ferris went wire-to-wire for the Wolves and only allowed one run in seven innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME TWO):
Keuka picked up a pair of runs in the top of the second inning against Canfield.
Elmira responded with a pair of its own in the bottom of the third.
Brady Buttice '26, slotted in the nine-whole, went deep off the foul pole in left field for his second home run of the year, cutting the Wolves' lead in half.
Three batters later, a sacrifice fly from Warden brought home
Kaden Bolt '26, tying the game at two.
Connor Stone '26 launched a no-doubt homer beyond the left field wall in the bottom of the fourth.
A two-run double from Keuka's Kyle Wood in the fifth inning gave the Wolves the lead again, going back on top, 4-3.
EC would go on to score four in the bottom of the fifth, three in the sixth, and four in the seventh to walk off the Wolves via 10-run rule.
The offensive onslaught began in the fifth with Warden singling home Buttice, which tied the game. Canfield then singled in Bolt, which allowed Warden, who was off on the pitch, to get all the way to third. Another single, this time from Stone, brought in Warden, making it 6-4. A Mateo Salvati '26 single that plated
Alex Dinicola '26 capped off the inning for EC, that now lead 7-4.
The sixth inning's scoring began with Bolt's straight steal of home plate. With the pitcher going into the windup, Bolt got a big lead off third base and took off at first movement. The pitch was a ball but Bolt had already scored, making it an 8-4 lead for Elmira.
Dinicola brought home Warden, who was drilled by a pitch after Bolt stole home, with an RBI single later in the inning, making it a 9-4 lead. Lees followed suit with an eleven-pitch plate appearance that resulted in an RBI single, scoring Dinicola.
Bolt's RBI single in the seventh inning put an exclamation point on his monstrous day at the plate. He would come around to score on Warden's two-run double along with
AJ Ramirez '27. Warden finished the game 2/2 with a walk, four runs batted in, and three runs scored. His third run came on a wild pitch that allowed EC to reach the 10-run limit and get home with a split.
Canfield lasted five innings, allowing four runs, two earned, and five hits. He also walked and struck out a pair.
Michael Polsinelli '28 took over and pitched a scoreless final two innings and only allowed two baserunners via walks.
Wyatt Ernst took the loss for Keuka, lasting 4.1 innings and allowing six earned runs on five hits and two walks.

The Soaring Eagles will travel to Brockport on Friday for a weekend series with the Golden Eagles. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 3:00 PM from Brockport.
