ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College senior forward Tyler Cardello has been tabbed Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

Cardello was an offensive force to be reckoned with for the Soaring Eagles this past week. He recorded 36 points against SUNY Geneseo, tying his career high, a double-double against Nazareth with 18 points and 14 rebounds, followed by 24 points at St. John Fisher. He averaged 26 points per game this week, tallying a total of 78 points on the week. Cardello recorded 18 rebounds as well this past week.

So far this season, Cardello has tallied 220 points for an average of 14.7 points per game. He has tallied 62 rebounds, 33 on offense and 29 on defense along with 18 steals and six blocks.
