Sami Wyatt '16

Sami Wyatt ’16 is set to enter her first year as the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Elmira College during the 2016-17 academic year.
 
Wyatt enjoyed a decorated career as a member of the Soaring Eagles’ Competition Cheerleading Team over the past four years. Serving as a flyer and team captain, she led EC to 13 first place finishes over her career, which included a Cheersport National Championship during her senior season this past spring. The Purple and Gold earned a Gold Paid Bid to the NCA College National Competition, held annually in Daytona Beach, FL, finishing in the Top-5 each of her four seasons with the program.
 
Wyatt has also distinguished herself as an instructor during her time at Elmira. She has been affiliated with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) as a high school level instructor since the summer of 2013. Her duties ranged from individual stunt instruction to development and implementation of programs with coaching staffs. Her work with the NCA was the subject of feature in the quarterly publication of American Cheerleading Magazine in the spring of 2016.
 
The Binghamton, NY, native not only has coaching experience at the national level, as she also has been an active instructor locally. She has worked as an instructor with Intensity Cheer Elite, based in Elmira, NY, while she has organized private camps with the Sayre High School Cheerleading Team since the fall of 2014. She has also served as an instructor at Head Over Heels Gymnastics, located in Vestal, NY, since the summer of 2015.
 
Wyatt graduated from Elmira College in June of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In addition to her coaching duties, she will also be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Management.
