Short averaged 9.33 assists, 1.92 digs, and 0.92 kills per set all while hitting .333 in a 2-1 week for the Elmira College Women’s Volleyball team. The setter finished the week with 112 assists, 11 kills, 23 digs, four service aces and six blocks. In conference play Tuesday against Houghton Short finished with a match-high 34 assists. Friday against Clarkson, who recently ended a two year Cortland winning streak against New York State teams, the senior dished out 30 assists along with tallying nine digs and three blocks. Saturday against Mount Aloysius Short nearly recorded a triple double finishing with seven kills, 10 digs and a remarkable 48 assists.

The EC Women’s Volleyball team is 12-10 overall on the season but more importantly 6-1 in conference play. The team continues its home stand with two games this week in Speidel Gymnasium. The Soaring Eagles take on Penn Tech at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday before a 6:00 p.m. conference battle with Alfred on Thursday.
