Cam Brickey '20 turned in a string of excellent defensive performances in a 2-1 week for the EC men's lacrosse team. The long-stick midfielder amassed a team-high 22 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers, while helping the defense surrender a paltry 7.00 goals per game. Brickey flashed his two-way game as well, as the senior posted the second assist of his career in a 12-1 drubbing of Alfred State.

The Cuba, New York, native had his best outing of the week in the Purple and Gold's 7-5 victory over SUNY Cobleskill. Brickey was a force on the defensive side of the ball, as he picked up a career-high 13 ground balls and added five caused turnovers to round out his contributions.

Through four games, Brickey leads the team in ground balls (26) and is tied for fourth in the Empire 8 Conference in ground balls per game (6.50). He ranks second in the league in caused turnovers per game (3.50), trailing only teammate Austin Spiridilozzi '20 (5.00).  

Brickey and the Soaring Eagles return to action on Wednesday, March 11, when they conclude their season-long four-game homestand against Wells at 7:00 p.m. at nearby Notre Dame High School.
