ELMIRA, N.Y. --
Tuesday's Elmira College Fall Invitational was one for the record books, as Audrey Clarke '18 tied her all-time career low with a round off 77 and claimed sole possession of the EC women's golf record for most career victories by earning individual medalist honors.

Clarke fired a 5-over-par 77 at the Elmira Country Club, home of the Soaring Eagles' annual fall and spring tournaments, earning medalist honors for the second time this season and for the seventh time in her collegiate career. Her seven victories break a tie with former EC great, Briana MacDonald '14, for the all-time record, while her score versus par was one behind the program single-round best, which Clarke already shares with former NCAA Tournament qualifier Tory MacNeil '08.

The standout senior was very efficient on the Elmira Country Club's challenging front nine, where she finished with five pars and a was a mere 4-over with a 39. The Churchville, New York, native then opened and closed the back nine with birdies, carding a one-under on the par-5 10th and the par-4 18th.

Clarke finished two strokes ahead of runner-up Holly Reynolds of Keuka College, who posted a 7-over-par 79. Rounding out the top five in order were Meghan Fonfara '18, SUNY Cobleskill's Tracy Anderson and Cassie Chun '18. Fonfara registered an 18-over-par 90, while Anderson carded a 97 (+25) and Chun turned in a 105 (+33).

Fonfara's 43 on the treacherous hillside on the front nine was four strokes better than her score on the back. She also had two birdies on the day, one on the par-5 fifth and another on the par-4 12th.

Chun's 105 represents a new single-round career low, a whopping 13-stroke improvement from her score at the same event during her freshman season. Her score on the back nine was nine strokes lower than the first nine holes, and she closed the round strong with pars on the 15th and 18th. Likewise, third-year golfer Sarah Hiltbrand '19 also registered a new career low. She was just one stroke off of Chun's pace with a 106 (+34), and she placed sixth out of the field of seven. The Fayetteville, New York, native produced identical scores of 53 on both halves of the course, with pars on the 12th and 15th holes.

Maddy Jerolman '19, participating in the first tournament of her collegiate career, finished with a 124 (+52).
