PINE VALLEY, N.Y. -- It was another record-setting evening for the No. 1/1-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team, as the Soaring Eagles set a program record with 89 shots on goal in a 12-1 victory over visiting King's College (Pa.) on Friday night. The previous record was set earlier this season in a 12-0 win over Lebanon Valley on November 9, 2018. Additionally, 15 EC skaters logged points in the win, 10 of which produced two or more.

Leading the charge offensively for the Purple and Gold was Ariella Haas '22 and Katie Granato '19, who finished with four points apiece. Haas logged her first career hat trick, including two-goal third period performance, and assisted one other tally. Granato scored twice for EC, one coming shorthanded, and assisted on two others.

Six Elmira skaters produced three points on the evening. Of the six, Eliza Beaudin '22 was the only one to find the back of the net, as the other five – Morgan Mordini '22, Devyn Gilman '21, Shannon Strawinski '19, Kiana Melvin '20 and Emma Crocker '21 – all recorded three assists each. Beaudin, on the other hand, scored a pair of goals, including a power-play tally, to go along with one helper.

Maddie Evangelous '19 and Meg Lahey '19 each finished with two points apiece. Evangelous was a two-goal scorer for the Soaring Eagles, one of which went down as the game-winner, while Lahey scored once and assisted on another.

Other point scorers this evening included Bella Hanson '21, Jenny Heath '22 and Amanda Zenstein '22, all of whom registered an assist, as well as Jess Adams '21 and Maddy Jerolman '19, who both found the back of the net once.

Stephanie Martin '22 improved to 11-1-1 on the year by making nine saves in 59:50 of action. The rookie netminder has won eight consecutive games and has allowed just 0.75 goals per game during that span.
