PINE VALLEY, N.Y. -- The No. 1/1-ranked Elmira College women's ice hockey team continued their dominance over the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) by improving to 12-0-0 in conference action with a 16-0 victory against visiting King's College (Pa.) on Tuesday evening. Elmira's 16 goals set a new single-game program record, eclipsing the previous mark of 15 that was set twice by the Soaring Eagles during their inaugural season in 2001-02.

With tonight's win, Elmira moved into sole possession of first place in the UCHC standings with 24 league points. Additionally, Elmira extended its winning streak to an NCAA Division III-best 10 games.

Not only did EC set a new single-game program record, the Soaring Eagles also had all 19 skaters produce at least one point this evening, another first in Elmira's storied history. Of the 19 skaters, 13 logged two or more, while three finished with four points.

Leading the charge for EC was Emma Crocker '21, Eliza Beaudin '22 and Amanda Zenstein '22, all of whom recorded four points apiece. Crocker scored twice and assisted on two others, while Beaudin and Zenstein finished with one goal and three assists apiece.

Maddie Evangelous '19, Maddy Jerolman '19, Mary McCafferty '22, Kiana Melvin '20 and Meg Lahey '19 all registered three points apiece. Evangelous paced all skaters with a game-high three goals, her first hat trick of the season and the second of her four-year career.

Jerolman and McCafferty logged two goals and one assist apiece. Jerolman scored the first goal of the game, one that held up as tonight's game-winner, while McCafferty scored the first goals of her collegiate career.

Melvin and Lahey were both credited with three assists each. Melvin and Lahey also assisted on EC's lone power-play goal of the evening. For Melvin, it marked the second time this season, as well as in her three-year career, that she has produced three assists. Lahey's three-assist performance was a career-best for the senior captain.

Jess Adams '21, Tristen Tolan '21, Morgan Mordini '22, Kristin Chivers '19 and Shannon Strawinski '19 rounded out Elmira's multi-point scorers, as all five finished with two points each. Adams ended today's contest with a pair of goals, both of which came in the first period, while Tolan recorded one goal and one helper. Mordini, Chivers and Strawinski concluded the evening with two assists apiece.

Rounding out Elmira's point-getters were Ariella Haas '22, Brooke McArdle '22, Jenny Heath '22, Brianna Haviland '22, Tiia Hertto '20 and Katie Granato '19, who all finished with one point.

Haas and McCardle finished with one goal each. For Haas, it was her 11th of the season and extended her goal-scoring streak to four games, a span that has seen the rookie notch eight tallies. McCardle, on the other hand, scored her first career goal on the power play, as the Soaring Eagles went 1-for-1 with the extra skater.

Heath, Haviland, Hertto and Granato were credited with one assist apiece. Haviland produced her first career assist in her first-ever appearance for the Soaring Eagles, while Hertto picked up her first assist of the 2018-19 campaign in her fourth appearance. Meanwhile, Granato's assist helped her extend her point streak to five games.

In goal, Elizabeth Hanson '21 made her third start of the 2018-19 season. The second-year netminder made three saves en route to her second win of the year.
