Men’s Tennis Drops Spring-Opening Match to SUNY Oneonta

PINE VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Elmira College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to SUNY Oneonta in its spring-opening match at the Murray Athletic Center on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Red Dragons opened the match by claiming all three doubles contests, dropping just two games in the process. EC's top doubles tandem of Stephen Gervase '20 and Ravi Chauma '21 won the only two games, as the duo fell by an 8-2 score.
 
Singles action proved to be much of the same, as Oneonta earned straight-set wins at all six positions. Gervase had the closest match of the day, falling at the No. 1 singles position by a 6-2, 6-1 score line.
