PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's soccer team battled rainy conditions on Saturday afternoon as the Soaring Eagles dropped a 4-0 decision against St. John Fisher to close the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cardinals opened the scoring in the 6th minute as Isabella Guarracino headed the ball into the back of the net following a free-kick. Elmira Goalkeeper
Nevaeh Winston '25 would make a trio of saves in the 12th and 13th minutes to keep Purple & Gold in the match.
Lauren Foster '23 recorded the lone shot on goal for EC in the half as she would be denied in the 7th minute.
Just 34 seconds into the second half, the Cardinals would extend their lead to 2-0 off a tally by Tori Cruz. St. John Fisher tallied goals in the 56th and 68th minutes to increase the lead to 4-0. Winston recorded six more stops in net for the Soaring Eagles despite allowing three goals.
Winston finished the match with 12 saves for the Soaring Eagles and recorded 168 saves on the season. The 168 saves rank 10th all-time for a single season in program history as Winston passes Crystal Eaton '87, who made 166 stops during the 1986 season.
