KEUKA, N.Y. – The Elmira College men's basketball team dropped a 82-81 decision to the Wolves from Keuka College on Saturday afternoon. After the Soaring Eagles used a 13-2 run to conclude the first half with an 11-point advantage, the Wolves used a 5-0 run down the stretch to end the game as the Soaring Eagles were unable to get a shot off in the final seconds.
Rashaad Nurse '22 paced Elmira with a career-night, posting a 33-point, 15 rebound effort while
Bryan Adams '25 (20 points) and
Harry Ravitz '23 (10 points) each finished the night in double-figures.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
After Elmira controlled the pace of the game for the opening 10 minutes, the Wolves were able to erase its deficit and eventually jump out to an eight-point lead with 7:10 remaining in the half. Over the remainder of the half, the Soaring Eagles used a 19-point swing, including a 13-2 run over the final three minutes of play to take an 11-point lead into the break, 47-36.
In the opening half, Nurse scored 17 points while Adams added 10 as the Soaring Eagles shot 51.4% from the floor (18-of-35).
In the second, Elmira was able to shoot just 32.5% from the floor, while Keuka increased its shooting percentage by nearly 15.0% from the first half. The Wolves would outscore Elmira by 12 in the half, including a 5-0 run down the stretch to conclude the game.
For the game, Elmira shot 41.7% from the floor (30-of-72) compared to 43.8% for Keuka (28-of-64). Keuka won the three-point battle, converting on 12 shots from long range compared to seven for Elmira. The Soaring Eagles controlled the game in 2
nd chance points (25 to 9), as well as points in the paint (46 to 22).
