PITTSFORD, NY. – Elmira women's soccer was held scoreless in its match with St. John Fisher, and a first-half goal proved enough for the Cardinals to claim the 1-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles had the game's first chance on an on-target effort by Tierney Krawczyk '27 in the third minute, forcing a save by the Cardinal goalkeeper.
- Elmira did not register another shot in the half and fell behind in the 35th minute on a St. John Fisher goal. Elmira trailed going into the half 1-0.
- The second half began the same as the first, with a shot by Krawczyk two minutes into the half, once again saved by St. John Fisher's keeper.
- Despite 15 saves by Elmira's goalkeeper Nevaeh Winston '25, which kept EC in the game, the Soaring Eagles could not find the back of the net and fell by a final score of 1-0.
- Krawczyk had three of Elmira's four shots, each forcing a save. Piper Andrews '26 had Elmira's other shot of the game on an off-target effort.
