WILLIAMSPORT PA. – The Elmira College women's soccer team traveled to Williamsport, Pennsylvania for its second contest in four days, taking on the Warriors from Lycoming College this afternoon. The Warriors, who entered the game off to its best start since the 2022 season, extended its win streak to five games to begin the 2024 campaign after downing the Soaring Eagles 2-0 in a non-conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The game would play scoreless through nearly the first 40 minutes of play, with Nevaeh Winston '25 stopping each of her first five shots faced. The Soaring Eagles earned its first advantage of the contest after being awarded a corner kick at the 5:33 mark, but the Warrior would answer with six of their own in the half.
- Following an offside call on the Purple & Gold, the Warriors would earn the ball back, eventually finding the back of the net at the 39:52 mark as Julia Bidelspach scored on a pair of assists from Ella Magee and Aubrey Williamson.
- In the opening half, Winston made five saves on six attempts.
- To begin the second half, the Warriors would put a pair of shots on net in the first seven minutes, with Winston making saves on each to keep the game within one goal. From there, Elmira would register its first shot on goal for the contest, as Brookelyn Porter '27 placed a shot on goal which would go down as a team save.
- After a pair of shots for the Warriors, they would eventually extend its lead to 2-0 on an unassisted goal from Magee, giving her three points on the afternoon.
- For the contest, Winston would finish with 11 saves in net while her 32 saves through the first four games of the season mark the most in her four-year career.
