HOW IT HAPPENED:
- It did not take long for the Soaring Eagles to find the back of the net as Andrews got the scoring started at the 12:39 mark in the opening half. Following one of Elmira's 11 corner kicks for the contest, the Pioneers were able to slightly clear the ball before Tierney Krawczyk '27 crossed the ball into the box. From there, Andrews was able to beat the defender with her right foot to score the opening goal.
- Just over 12 minutes later, it would be Bortnick who would extend Elmira's lead to a pair as a great through ball to which found Emily Seiler '28, would eventually find Bortnick at the top of the box before finishing off the side of the post to push the lead.
- The scoring would stop until the second half at the 50:06 mark when Andrews was able to notch her second of the contest on an assist from Mo McBride '27. Off a throw-in, McBride was able to take it nearly half the field before finding the edge, feeding it to Andrews who once again used the backside of her right foot to push the EC lead to 3-0.
- The Pioneers would see their lone goal of the contest come exactly one minute later, as off a Soaring Eagle turnover, Karlee Hargather was able to score, unassisted.
- Ingber and Andrews would once again score at the 61:51 and 79:55 minutes, respectively. Krawczyk would be credited the assist on Ingber's goal after feeding the ball through the center of the field, which eventually took a redirection of a Pioneer player and saw Ingber in a one-on-one situation with Pioneer goaltender Kate Sproul before finishing with her left foot.
- Nevaeh Winston '25 would get the victory in net, allowing one goal and registering one save in 76:03 of play before Miranda Waterman '25 finished the last 13:57 of the contest, making one save.
- In all, Elmira controlled the corner kicks battle 11-0, as well as shots on goal, 10-3.
