ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Empire 8 Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday, as Paten Buckwalter '28 took home his fourth Rookie of the Week honor.
Buckwalter tallied eighteen kills and seven total blocks on Saturday against Drew University and Rutgers Newark. The first year middle blocker also finished the day with a pair of service aces and an assist as the Soaring Eagles notched a split in the Rutgers Tri Match.
The Soaring Eagles are back on the road this weekend in the Keystone State. EC will visit Misericordia for a tri match also featuring the Knights of Arcadia University. EC faces Arcadia at 2:00 PM and the host Misericordia at 4:00 PM.
