GREENWOOD, IN – The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
 
Elmira's Jack O'Grady, Riley Spencer, and Tyler Cardello were honored as members of the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams for the Purple & Gold. This is the first CSC All-Academic recognition for O'Grady, Spencer, and Cardello.
 
O'Grady, a native of Reston, Virginia, appeared in 23 games with five starts for Elmira while averaging 10.2 minutes per game. O'Grady played a season-high 19 minutes against Bryant & Stratton (Albany) on December 8 and notched a career-high eight rebounds against Alfred State on November 26.
 
Spencer, a native of Port Crane, New York, started all 25 games for the Soaring Eagles and paced Elmira with 55 made three-pointers. Spencer dropped a season-high 28 points against Geneseo on January 31, along with hitting a season-high nine made field goals. He also connected on a season-high six three-pointers against Russell Sage on January 14.

Cardello, a native of Scottsdale, Arizona, appeared in 25 games with 20 starts for the Purple & Gold. Cardello finished the season with 15.5 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game while also scoring his 1,000^th career point. He recorded a season-high 23 points while shooting 8-of-13 from the field against Alfred State. Cardello also scored 22 points to go along with 12 rebounds and four assists against Keuka on February 4.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All- America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
