Randie Torgalski Releases 2026 Softball Schedule

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Elmira College head softball coach Randie Torgalski has announced the Soaring Eagles' 2026 schedule. EC will face a mix of regional and conference opponents throughout the spring.

The Soaring Eagles will kick off their season by traveling to Raleigh, N.C. to compete in the D3 Triangle Classic. They will play two games on Friday, March 6, with the first being played versus Oberlin College at 11:00 AM in their first-ever meeting. Their second game will be versus the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan University at 1:00 PM. The two sides have each won three games in the all-time series.

The following day, EC will head to Greensboro, N.C. for a March 7 doubleheader versus the Quakers of Guilford College. The first game is set for 1:00 PM, with the second to follow. The Soaring Eagles are 1-1 versus the Quakers all-time.

On Saturday, March 21, Elmira will play a doubleheader versus the Pacers of Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., with the first game taking place at 12:00 PM. The Pacers have won five of the previous meetings, while the Soaring Eagles have won three.

The Elmira College softball team will play its season opener on Monday, March 23, as they face Oswego State in a doubleheader. The first game against the Lakers is set for 3:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles lead the all-time series, 19-7. Two days later, on March 25, EC will travel to Hamburg, N.Y. for two games against the Hilbert College Hawks. The Soaring Eagles have a dominant 19-2 all-time record versus the Hawks.

EC will open Empire 8 play on Saturday, March 28 at home versus the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles. The first of two games is scheduled for 1:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles are 2-2 in the all-time series. The following day, March 29, EC will be back at home as they host SUNY Morrisville for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles hold an impressive 19-2 record versus the Mustangs.

The Soaring Eagles will travel to Alfred, N.Y. on Thursday, April 2 to take on Alfred State College in a doubleheader beginning at 2:00 PM. EC is 11-3 all-time versus the Pioneers, including a perfect 4-0 record on the road.

Friday, April 3 will bring more Empire 8 action, as the Soaring Eagles take on Utica University for two games, with the first set for 2:00 PM. EC is 34-41 all-time versus the Pioneers and is looking to snap a four-game skid. The following day, April 4, the Soaring Eagles will host conference opponent SUNY Poly for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 PM. EC holds a 5-3 edge over the Wildcats all-time.

EC will travel to Rochester, N.Y. on Saturday, April 11 to take on St. John Fisher University in two games beginning at 1:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles will look to improve on their 23-56-1 record versus the Cardinals. The following day, Elmira will be back at home as they face the Golden Flyers of Nazareth University for two games at 1:00 PM. EC is 20-26 in the all-time series and 6-4 in their last 10 meetings.

On Wednesday, April 15, Elmira will travel to Geneseo, N.Y. for a conference doubleheader versus the Knights of SUNY Geneseo. The Knights hold a 19-14 edge in the all-time series. The Soaring Eagles will be at the Holding Point Recreation Center the following day, as they welcome SUNY Delhi for two games beginning at 3:00 PM. EC is undefeated versus the Broncos, winning all four matchups.

The Soaring Eagles will hit the road to Albany, N.Y. on Saturday, April 18 as they take on Russell Sage College in a conference doubleheader and look to even the all-time series, which the Gators lead 11-9. The following day, April 19, they will travel to Oneonta, N.Y. to face the Hartwick College Hawks and build on their 23-9 all-time record. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM.

On Tuesday, April 21, the Soaring Eagles will host a doubleheader versus Keuka College at 3:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles have a strong 26-9 lead in the all-time series and are 7-3 versus the Wolves in their last 10 meetings.

EC's final road games of the regular season will be in Alfred, N.Y. on Friday, April 24 as they play the Saxons of Alfred University in a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM. The Saxons are 23-43-1 all-time versus the Soaring Eagles.

Elmira's final Empire 8 games of the regular season will take place the following day, as they welcome Houghton University for two games beginning at 1:00 PM. The Soaring Eagles will be looking to extend their 24-11 edge in the all-time series.

The Soaring Eagles will host SUNY Cobleskill for one final non-conference series on Wednesday, April 29 beginning at 3:00 PM. EC holds a narrow 3-2-1 edge in the all-time series.

The Empire 8 Championship first round will begin on Tuesday, May 5, before a six-team tournament begins on May 7.
