Three from Softball Earn Academic All-District Honors

ELMIRA, N.Y. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2025 Softball Academic All-District honors on Tuesday afternoon, with Brianna Ramstine '25, Hannah Colwill '27, and Kristen Cole '27 each earning recognition from the organization. For Ramstine, it marked the second time she earned All-District honors, previously in 2024.

Ramstine recently received her bachelor's degree in Human Services from Elmira College and played in 69 games across two seasons for the Soaring Eagles after joining the program as a transfer before the 2024 season. A two-time CSC All-District honoree, Ramstine closes her career ranked in the top 10 of several individual records for the softball program.

Ramstine ranks second all-time in on-base percentage (.446), third in slugging percentage (.563), fourth in batting average (.364), seventh in stolen bases (23), and 10th in both walks (31) and home runs (5). She also completed the 2025 season ranked among the top 10 in the Empire 8 Conference in several different categories, including triples (4) and stolen bases (15).

A first-time CSC All-District honoree, Colwill is a Nursing major at Elmira College and finished her second season with the Soaring Eagles in 2025. Colwill paced the Soaring Eagles this season with 115 at-bats and tied for the most runs batted in with 22.

Colwill was one of two players on the team to play and start each of EC's 37 games this season. She also finished second on the team with 23 runs scored and eight doubles. Colwill also ranked seventh in the Empire 8 Conference in triples.

Playing her first season with the Soaring Eagles in 2025 after transferring, Cole is also a Nursing major at Elmira. A first-time CSC All-District honoree, Cole became just the sixth player in program history to hit two triples in a single game, as she accomplished the feat on the road against Keuka.

Cole played in 34 games this season with 26 starts for the Soaring Eagles. She recorded 17 hits, 15 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, one home run, and 10 RBIs. She also recorded six stolen bases on the season for the Purple & Gold.
