Elmira, N.Y. – Elmira College Athletics is excited partner with Pietro & Son's to honor the Soaring Eagle Athletes of the Week for the 2026-27 season. Junior Nicole Luther and sophomore Luka Tatanashvili pick up the honor for the first time this season.

Field Hockey, Nicole Luther
Luther enters her third season with the Soaring Eagles. This past week, she played the entire duration of both contests. On Saturday at Cedar Crest, Luther scored two goals. Her first goal brought EC within one while her second goal was in the overtime period and secured the field hockey teams first victory of the season.

Men's Soccer, Luka Tatanashvili
This past week, Tatanashvili competed in both contests for the Soaring Eagles. At Campus Field on Saturday, Tatanashvili scored a goal while recording two shots on goal. He helped elevate the men's soccer team for the first victory of the season against Keystone, 2-0.
