Elmira, N.Y. – Elmira College Athletics is excited partner with Pietro & Son's to honor the Soaring Eagle Athletes of the Week for the 2026-27 season. Junior Talia Nash and freshman Amy Ferrier pick up the honor for the first time this season.

Field Hockey, Talia Nash
Nash enters her third season with the Soaring Eagles and had a standout performance this week to help lead EC to their first conference win of the season. Field Hockey's win at Keuka is the first time that Elmira has opened conference play with a win since 2011 and the first time they have beat Keuka since 2019. Talia was seen recording a hat trick at Keuka, ultimately leading EC to a 4-3 victory. Her goal was also the game-winning goal. Nash tallied a total of 7 points on the week after picking up an assist at SUNY Oneonta earlier in the week.

Women's Soccer, Amy Ferrier
In her freshman campaign, Ferrier has already made an impact for EC. In only 51 minutes of play this week, Ferrier was a standout for the Soaring Eagles. EC collected their first two conference wins with a 2-0 shutout at Russell Sage and a 2-1 victory at Keuka. This marks the first time in program history that EC has defeated Russell Sage. Amy was seen recording one goal at Sage and another at Keuka for 2 goals on the week. At Keuka, Amy's goal gave EC the equalizer and kept them in the game.
