Elmira, N.Y. – Elmira College field hockey junior Talia Nash has been named Empire 8 Co-Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Talia had a standout week for the Soaring Eagles, helping lead Elmira to their first conference win of the season. This is the first time that Elmira has opened conference play with a win since 2011 and the first time they have beat Keuka since 2019. 

Talia was seen recording a hat trick during the E8 opener at Keuka. Her three goals, the third being the game-winner, ultimately led EC to the 4-3 victory. In the non-conference matchup at SUNY Oneonta, Talia was seen recording an assist for a total of 7 points on the week.

This is the first time Nash has been named E8 Co-Player of the Week in the 2026 season.
