Elmira, N.Y. – Elmira College women's soccer sophomore Scarlett Cobos has been named Empire 8 Co-Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.

In Cobos' first appearance for the Soaring Eagles this week, she recorded her first shutout of the season at Russell Sage. This marks the first time in program history that EC has defeated Russell Sage. Not only did Cobos record a shutout, she had nine saves during the match to keep the Gators at bay.

This is the first time Cobos has been named E8 Co-Defensive of the Week in the 2026 season.
