Alex Adelman ’22 enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Elmira College men’s and women’s volleyball programs during the 2023-24 academic year.
Adelman returned to his alma mater like his new head coach and old teammate Ryan McDonough after finishing his collegiate career as a Soaring Eagle. The East Meadow, New York, finished his career with 228 digs while playing in 249 matches from 2018-2022. Adelman earned Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year honors for men's volleyball in 2020, along with spots on the United Volleyball Conference All-Academic Team from 2019-2022.
Adelman brings previous coaching experience after working part time with Sportime VBC as well as Southern Tier Volleyball Club.
He graduated from Elmira College in the spring of 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Adolescent Education (Mathematics).
