EC Athlete of the Week (1/23/17)

2017-18 Season
Appeared in 21 games off the bench as a sophomore...Averaged 4.2 points in 9.3 minutes per game...Reached double-figures in three contests, thanks to a season-high-tying four 3-point field goals in all three games...Tallied a season-high 16 points twice, in both contests against Hartwick (1/25, 2/6)...Added 12 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes of action against Alfred (1/27).

2016-17 Season
Started in 8-of-23 appearances in his debut season…Averaged 7.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists…Ranked second on the team in both 3-point field goals made (38) and 3-point percentage (.392)…Went a season-best 7-for-9 from 3-point range for 21 points in a conference bout against Houghton (01/17)…Scored  21 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in a 66-63 triumph over Empire 8 foe Ithaca (02/07).

Before Elmira
Alex averaged 11.2 points per game as a junior and 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a senior at Strath Haven High School... He was awarded All-Delco Honorable Mention honors as a junior and a senior and All-Central league Second Team and CoBL PIAA Honorable Mention honors as a senior.

Alex is an Education major and a Social Studies minor.
