Faccio helped the No. 15 Soaring Eagles to a 4-1 record this week, including a flawless 4-0 record at the Golden Flyer Tournament in Rochester, NY over the weekend. Faccio was masterful setting up the EC offense all week, totaling 203 assists, an average of 10.15 per set, en route to being named the Golden Flyer Tournament Most Valuable Player. In addition to his 203 assists, Faccio notched 11 kills, 14 service aces, 23 digs, and eight total blocks, two of which were solo blocks.
Elmira's lone defeat this week came against No. 7 UC Santa Cruz in a thrilling five sets. He posted 57 assists against the Banana Slugs, the second-most he has recorded in a single game this season. He also tallied 48 and 43 assists in wins over Medaille College and Wells College in the final day of the Golden Flyer Tournament.
Faccio and the men's volleyball team open UVC play this weekend when they host NYU and Vassar College during one of EC's three UVC Crossover events. Elmira begins the event against NYU at 11:00 a.m. on February 15th.
