Vellutato averaged a remarkable 10.4 assists, 2.2 digs, 0.53 aces and 0.4 blocks per set in a 2-2 week for Elmira. The junior tallied career highs of 63 assists and 21 digs in a narrow five set loss to No. 8 Baruch where the Soaring Eagles lost the fourth and fifth sets by a combined four points.

Earlier in the week against No. 12 Medaille, Vellutato dished out 38 assists to go with nine digs and two blocks. In a sweep of Cazenovia he recorded 23 assists and an astonishing career high seven service aces. Sunday against host Mount Saint Vincent the Topanga, California native assisted on 32 kills to go with two digs and three blocks. The junior was also named the United Volleyball Conference Player of the Week.

The Men's Volleyball team returns to action Wednesday when it plays a match against No. 1 Nazareth College at 7:00 p.m. at Midlakes High School, which will serve as a benefit for the Elder family. See the FLYER for details on this match and to help support the Elder family.
