Kassi Hastings '21 helped the EC women's volleyball team clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming Empire 8 Conference Championships. The senior setter collected 81 assists, 15 digs, two blocks, two aces, and two kills in a doubleheader at Houghton on Sunday. In the first match, the Soaring Eagles downed the Highlanders in four sets to solidify their place in the conference tournament, while Hastings surpassed 1,000 career assists.

Entering the E8 Championships, Hastings leads all setters in the conference with 255 assists and 8.79 assists per set.
