Thanks in part to the all-around performance of Kari Jensen '23 in her debut with the Purple and Gold, the women's lacrosse team kicked off the 2021 campaign with a bang, as EC dismantled Alfred University on Saturday by a score of 15-5. The sophomore midfielder filled every column in the box score, totaling six points (3g-3a) with team-highs in draw controls (11), caused turnovers (5) and ground balls (4).
In addition to her offensive contributions, the Waterloo, New York, native was a key figure on the draw and in transition. Jensen's 11 draw controls tied a single-game record for the most won by a Soaring Eagle since 2012. She also helped Elmira convert 15-of-16 clear attempts while limiting the Saxons to a success rate of 47.8% (11-of-23).
