Stianche finished the week tallying 3.2 kills per set, 1.85 digs per set and 1.8 assists per set in five matches for the Elmira College Men’s Volleyball team. The first year outside hitter had a stellar day in two matches on Sunday at the Baruch Invitational. Stianche pounded out a combined 39 kills and recorded 16 digs in the two matches, hitting .261 as Elmira swept No. 12 Baruch. He also served as EC’s setter in a loss to Kean, dishing out 35 assists. Stianche combined for 64 kills, 37 digs, three solo blocks and three block assists on the week.

The Soaring Eagles are off to a 14-9 start overall and currently sit at 4-2 in the United Volleyball Conference. EC returns to action Wednesday when it hosts conference foe Hilbert College at 6:00 p.m. at Speidel Gymnasium.
