Elmira, NY -- Commissioner of the ECAC Rudy Keeling and the Women's West Executive Committee announced the 2011 ECAC Women's West Ice Hockey League Playoff seeds Tuesday afternoon.

Elmira, who finished league play with a 12-4-2 record, earned the third seed in the playoffs. The Soaring Eagles head into the tournament as the defending ECAC Women's West Champions and finished third in the 2009-10 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament. Elmira is led by first year forward Tori Charron '14 (Goodwood, Ontario -- Aurora Panthers) with 23 goals and 8 assists for 31 points in ECAC West play.

Elmira will host No. 6 Utica Saturday, February 26th at 2:00 pm. Utica skated to an 8-10-0 ECAC Women's West record this season. Tickets for the ECAC West First Round game for Saturday, February 26th will go on sale on Saturday at Noon.
