Fisher inbounded the ball to Portia Velasco who drove the length of the court and found Cusack in the corner for the game-winner, which happened to be the Cardinals only basket from downtown on the night.

St. John fisher led by as many as nine in the opening half, but the Soaring Eagles closed the final 2:39 of the stanza on a 9-0 run to tie it at 25 all at intermission.  There were seven ties in the second half and overtime period as Elmira held its largest advantage at five with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation.

Elmira shot the ball well from long distance converting on 35 percent of its attempts as a team. Fisher held advantages in rebounds (47-40), points in the paint (38-20), and bench points (17-7). Meanwhile, EC won the battle in points off turnovers (20-16) and second chance points (16-11).
