Box Score Carlisle, PA – The Elmira College Field Hockey team was unable to overcome an early three-goal deficit as it fell 9-2 to host Dickinson College Saturday afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The win improves the Red Devils to 2-2, while the loss drops the Soaring Eagles to 0-1.

Light to bring the Purple and Gold within one at 3-2. Dickinson tacked on a goal as time expired at the end of the half to take a 4-2 lead into intermission.
The Red Devils scored quickly out of the halftime break to cushion its lead and added a total of five second half goals to put the Soaring Eagles away. Alexandra Becker, Tanya Bellingham and Forhan led Dickinson with two markers each, while
Light paced Elmira with two goals.
Lauren Thomas '14 made a remarkable 17 saves between the pipes for the Purple and Gold, while Katy Schlechtweg stopped two shots for the Red Devils.
The EC Field Hockey team returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Rochester to take on the University of Rochester starting at 4:00 p.m.
