Hoboken, NJ -- The field hockey team (4-10, 1-6 E8) fell to Empire 8 Conference foe Stevens Institute of Technology (12-5, 7-0 E8) 9-1 today. Lauren Thomas '14 made 21 saves in today's contest. This game marked the last conference game of the season for the Purple and Gold.
 
The game was scoreless for the first 20 minutes until Jillian Fiebel '16 got a pass that crossed the front of the goal and put the ball past Thomas to give the Ducks the first goal of the game. Stevens would end up getting two more goals in the first half. In the second half of the game the Ducks would score six more times before Sarah Watts '15 found the back of the cage to score her second goal of the season in the 68^th minute of the game.  Mikayla Rebusmen '17 made two saves in net today in her nine minutes of play.
 
The Soaring Eagles will play next at the University of Rochester on October 29^th at 6:00 pm.
